The primary challenge facing the current digital ecosystem is the vulnerability of centralized systems to data breaches and identity theft. To address this, WISeKey has developed a Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) platform that allows users to regain control of their digital identities. The platform employs blockchain technologies and the Hedera Consensus Service (HCS) to issue and manage verifiable credentials, ensuring that private user data remains off-chain and protected.
