The Narodowy Fundusz Zdrowia, responsible for issuing European Health Insurance Cards in Poland, has initiated a three-phase pilot for the DC4EU digital wallet. This began with the liaison body and later expanded to the central office in January 2025. The next phase will cover 16 regional branches by April/May. Preparations included brainstorming sessions, approvals, and participant recruitment in late 2024. Participants were guided in using synthetic data to test the wallet, downloading credentials like Personal Identification Data and EHIC. A user satisfaction survey was conducted, gathering feedback to improve the wallet’s usability and performance.
